One of Liz's specialities is helping people understand their relationship with food - be that eating too much and struggling to maintain a healthy body weight, or not being able to eat enough and suffering from too low a body weight.
However, Liz can also help people deal with a range of other problems including depression, anxiety, stress, bereavement, relationship problems, self harm and dealing with long term illness.
Liz also provides Life Coaching and Business Coaching to help people achieve a better work/life balance, maximise their career potential and help them lead a happier, more fulfilled life.
Liz treats each client as an individual and does not have a set, structured process. Instead, she believes that everyone deserves a bespoke approach to suit their own particular, individual, needs - especially in terms of the pace of the counselling and the best approach to use.
Coaching backgroundBefore qualifying as a Counsellor, Liz was in business for over 17 years working with a range of companies and clients including Marks and Spencers, Barclays Bank, Carlson Marketing Group, Bass Brewers, Mark Warner and the Arcadia Group. She also ran her own Business Consultancy specialising in Customer Relationship Management. During this time she worked with a range of senior executives including Managing Directors and CEO's.
As a result of her business background, she has an excellent understanding of the stresses and strains of working life and the pressures you might be facing. When providing Coaching, she blends her counselling experience with her business background to provide an extremely professional, empathic, solution focused approach to help you achieve your maximum potential and happiness.
Liz is a Founder member of the BACP Coaching Division.
Would you like to find out more?If you would like to meet with Liz and find out more about what she has to offer and decide whether it's right for you, the first step is to have initial consultation where you will have the opportunity to talk about the problems you're facing and to voice what you'd like outcome of the counselling and/or coaching to be. You will be encouraged to ask any questions you may have and, if you decide to go ahead with the counselling / coaching, agree on when and for how long you would like to have it.
Liz firmly believes that the successful outcome to any therapy or coaching relies upon the positive relationship between the client and the counsellor/coach. It's imperative that you feel comfortable, that you feel you can trust her so that you can talk openly and honestly about anything that's concerning you. This is why the initial meeting is so important: it's your chance to decide if she's the right person to work with you to help you achieve your goals - be they personal or career orientated.
