Lucie Stephenson

Lucie StephensonCounsellor
MBACP, Dip HE Therapeutic Counselling

Lucie uses the Relational Approach to help you with your issue, but can also apply a wide range of other theoretical methods such as Person Centred, Psychodynamic, Body Psychotherapy and NLP to help you.

Lucie provides counselling for a wide range of issues including stress, anxiety, OCD, sexual abuse, depression, sexuality, sexual issues, self-harm, phobias, bereavement, trauma and relational difficulties. She also has experience of working with issues relating to pregnancy and miscarriage. Lucie believes that having an opportunity to explore the issue you are experiencing can lead to the possibility of change and improve the quality of your relationships and life in general.

The speciality that Lucie can offer is Trauma Therapy. She uses a range of techniques to help people cope after various types of trauma.

You may be looking for specific help to recover from a traumatic event in your life, such as abuse, serious illness, car accident, OCD or phobia. Lucie uses the Rewind Technique to help you overcome the trauma/phobia etc. This can be part of longer term therapy or on a one-off basis for the specific issue alone.

Whether you require specific trauma therapy, or more general support, Lucie is able to provide a warm, friendly, approachable environment within which you can safely explore your needs before we look at the best way forward for you.

Lucie is able to support you either face-to-face or via email or telephone, for your convenience. This can be particularly beneficial if you are working away or if geography means you may find it difficult to come to Horsforth..
