Sam is an experienced counsellor working in the Horsforth area. She works with individuals helping them to explore and work through problems at a pace which is right for them.

Sam takes an integrative approach to her counselling sessions, drawing on a range of different theories to find the one that is most helpful to you.
Through her work Sam will help you look at the way you behave and how these behavioural patterns have come about.  Together you will work together to change your understanding, perception and view of your problems so that you can begin to work towards living in  way that you  find more satisfying.
Sam provides counselling for a wide range of issues including stress, anxiety, abuse, depression, self esteem, bereavement and relationship issues.  Her work is based on the premise that we all have the ability to change ourselves.


Sam is a qualified counsellor (Advanced Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy).  She is a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and is on their Accredited Register, working within their framework of standards and professional conduct.  Sam is also an accredited member of the National Counselling Society.

Professional Background

To date Sam has worked as a counsellor in the voluntary sector for the last three years.  Working for Cruse Bereavement Care, dealing with grief, loss and bereavement, and more recently, a local Children’s Centre, working with parents with a wide range of life issues.

How long does each session last?

Counselling sessions with Sam last for 50 mins.  The number of sessions will be agreed through mutual agreement.  Each session costs £48, payment is made via cash or cheque only please.
