TA for Mental Health Professionals Programme
This 10 module certificate course is aimed at mental health professionals. The programme offers different perspectives and thinking about mental health problems using transactional analysis theory and provides a range of new tools and interventions aimed at increasing flexibility of working.
The course is for counsellors and therapists from other modalities, mental health workers, CPN’s, social workers, doctors, occupational therapists and clinical psychologists. It will provide opportunities to:
Learn new concepts and increase confidence through using them
Gain support for yourself in your work with clients
Have a greater understanding of the structure of mental health
The course takes place over two days, one weekend a month, at the Horsforth Centre in Leeds. Saturday is a teaching day whilst the Sunday is agenda-driven for discussion of cases and client material. On successful completion of the course and passing the assignment, eligible participants will be awarded a Horsforth Centre “TA for Mental Health Professionals” Certificate.
The course provides 120 hours of CPD.

Venue The Horsforth Centre
The Horsforth Centre is a therapy and training centre situated on Low Lane in Horsforth in north Leeds, on the corner with St. James Terrace. The centre has a fully equipped training room decorated in a comfortable, peaceful and relaxing style. There’s plenty of off-street parking and a well equipped kitchen with microwave. There are sandwich shops within a five minute walk and a supermarket 10 minutes away.
Fees
Full course fee: £1200 This fee covers attendance at all ten two-day modules of the course. The fee may be paid in full, or in instalments by Bank Standing Order. The full fee is due once a delegate has committed to the full course. The marking fee for the assignment is £60.
Individual module fee (subject to availability of places): £140
Booking deposit (non-returnable): £150 for full course; £35.00 per individual module.
Payment by instalments: if you book for the full course, and would like to pay in monthly instalments, we will provide you with a Bank Standing Order form for this purpose. Please let Jane Williams know at the time of booking that you would like to take this option. The Standing Order needs to have been confirmed by your bank by the beginning of the course.
