Hello, I’m Lori, a counsellor who offers short and long term counselling to adults. I am Relational and Integrative Counsellor which means that I specialise in building relationships and use a range of other counselling techniques. I have extensive experience working with adults who are dealing with issues such as anxiety, depression, loss, low self esteem. I also work with people with complex issues, including adult survivors of childhood sexual trauma.
Having worked with adults and men’s groups I know life can be overwhelming for many people. Life is tough and there are times when we need space to sort out what is going on in our heads and lives. Its not always easy talking to family and friends as they are emotionally invested in us. By providing a safe, non-judgmental and confidential space, I can support you to make sense of what is going on. Enabling you to make changes which allow you to enjoy life and invest in yourself and your relationships. We will talk about what is important to you – progressing at the pace set by you.
My approach is collaborative – you and I will work together to build up a relationship that will enable us to explore issues on a deeper level. Counselling is not a one size fits all approach which is why we will work at your pace, breaking down any awkwardness and fears. I believe that no subject is taboo and that no matter how challenging, counselling offers genuine relief and positive change.
