Counselling

We have online and telephone counselling appointments available
Counselling is what’s called a ‘talking therapy’. It allows you to talk openly and honestly, without fear of being judged, about what’s concerning you. It offers you an opportunity to explore how you’re feeling in a safe and confidential environment. Your counsellor will provide friendly, experienced support, enabling you to work through your issues at a pace that suits you.
Counselling can help with the following issues:
Depression, Abuse, Anxiety, Trauma, Post-Traumatic Stress, Work-life balance issues, Stress, Eating disorders, Bereavement, Panic attacks, Long-term illness, Self-harm, Relationship problems, Weight problems (such as obesity), Sexual Identity, Sexual issues.

How many sessions will you need?

Everybody is different and everyone has different needs and works at a different pace, so it’s hard to say how many sessions you might like to have. However, at The Horsforth Centre the booking of future sessions remains firmly your decision – you can have as many or as few as you would like and we would always discuss and review with you how you feel the counselling was progressing on an ongoing basis.
