Qualifications
Olumide is a qualified counsellor (Postgraduate Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy) and has completing a Masters (MSc) in Psychology. He has also obtained a Level 4 Accreditation in Dialectical Behavioural Therapy with The Association for Psychological Therapies (APT).
He is a Senior Accredited member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), working within their framework of standards and professional conduct. Olumide is also a member of the Society for Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (SfDBT) and is in the process of working towards accreditation in this specialty.
He also has a SCQF Level 11 qualification in Counselling Supervision
Professional Background
Olumide is the Counselling Team Manager at Leeds Beckett University, where he is the clinical lead and liaises with the BACP on behalf the University. He provides therapeutic support to a wide range of Undergraduate and Postgraduate students as a counsellor and manages the service and team of counsellors. Previously, he worked for Leeds City College as a Counselling and Mental Health Officer where he provided counselling and mental health support to students experiencing abuse, trauma, anxiety and depression.
He also has experience working as a counsellor in the voluntary sector for the last few years. He worked at Wellspring in Harrogate, working with clients dealing with a wide range of issues. He also worked for Turning Lives Around, which is a charity looking to support the homeless, as a counsellor to both service users and staff.
Prior to working as a counsellor, Olumide was a Pensions Team Manager at Capita.

Counselling sessions with Olumide last for 50 mins. The number of sessions will be agreed through mutual agreement. Payments for sessions can be made via cash or bank transfer. He charges £70 per session
