The Dalai Lama first met with scientists studying the affects of practising mindfulness 27 years ago. There were half a dozen of them. Last week he met them again in Boston at the latest meeting of the Mind & Life Instutite. There were 1700 delegates representing 38 countries.
Mindfulness techniques have slowly and gently become part of many of our lives – being used in personal lives, business and even adopted by the military – it has been a very quiet revolution in thought and life practices.
